Biography

Aleksandr Didenko, better known by his stage name SanMinor, is a rap artist, songwriter, and beatmaker recognized for his tracks in a unique subgenre he defines as "Dystopian Rap".

SanMinor began his musical journey during his school years. Influenced by poetry and the music of iconic groups such as Mnogotochie and Centr, as well as legendary rappers including 2Pac and DMX, he was inspired to create his own songs.

In 2014, the alias "SanMinor" was born, marking the beginning of his active engagement with music. For SanMinor, music is a powerful medium to express his worldview, share thoughts and emotions, and connect with listeners on a deeper level.

He gravitates toward the underground scene, where authenticity and lyrical depth are highly valued. His work often explores themes of love, life, and personal introspection.

Musical Career

Early Career (2014 – 2019)

In November 2014, SanMinor began work on his debut EP album "Night of December" — a deeply personal project revealing his inner reflections. The first track was recorded in February 2015 at the Sverdlovsk State Academic Drama Theater.

In 2016, he released the single "Madame", featuring vocalist Lyuba Yamskaya, one of the few female performers from Yekaterinburg. That summer, a music video was filmed for the track.

The same year, SanMinor began producing his own rap beats, releasing twelve additional singles between 2016 and 2019.

Development and Growth (2020 – 2022)

In 2020, SanMinor released his second EP "Step Forward". The same year also saw the release of the single "In The Air Tonight" and a second music video.

In March 2021, he released the video for "Your Dream Ships (Remix)" along with his first dystopian rap single "1984". This period also included the release of "Heat (Disco Remix)".

Later that year, his third EP "Isolation" was released, exploring themes of life and death, digitalization of society, isolation, and social issues. In the summer of 2022, he released "Heat 2022 (Remix)", followed by the single "Vaccination" in October.

Recent Projects (2023 – 2026)

In 2023, SanMinor began working on a new full-length album, starting with the single "To Be Human", which later became part of the project. As a bonus, he released the remix album "The Remix", featuring reimagined versions of previous tracks.

In January 2024, his fourth EP "Brave New World" was released. The album featured bold sonic experiments, elements from various musical genres, melancholic melodies, and strong dystopian themes.

That year also saw the release of three new singles: "Rap About Love", "Anti World", and "Out of the Game". In January 2025, SanMinor released a new love-themed rap single titled "Natasha." In April, the track "QR Code" was released, followed by "Strength lies in truth" in October. In January 2026, the single "Rap About Love 2" was released.
